Location: Swansea Area

Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Specialist to join a supportive and inclusive school in the Swansea area, starting September 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored learning support to pupils with a range of SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language needs.

  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and parents/carers to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs).

  • Monitor student progress and adapt interventions accordingly.

  • Create an inclusive, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.

  • Support students both in and out of the classroom on a one-to-one or small group basis.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Proven experience working with children or adults with special educational needs.

  • Strong knowledge of SEN strategies and differentiated learning techniques.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Team Teach or equivalent behaviour management training.

  • Experience with PECS, Makaton, or sensory integration strategies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
