SEN Carer
Location: Thornbury
Salary: £57-£65 a day
Part Time
Teaching personnel is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual who has a passion for working with children with Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). This vibrant school has fantastic facilities that allow pupils to experience a broad and balanced curriculum whilst fostering independence, confidence and inclusion. Your role as a SEN Carer will be to provide personal care, feeding and general support for children who have severe learning difficulties, you will be working 1:1 and/or in small groups to provide a secure and safe environment for learning.
This opportunity is perfect for someone is looking for casual or part time work, the days are flexible, which means you're able to fit the role in around other commitments including childcare or studying.
Successful SEN Carer….
- Must have a passion or interest in working with children with (PMLD) and (SLD)
- Experience with SEN and severe learning difficulties is desirable but not essential
- Comfortable with personal care and feeding
- Possess good behaviour management skills
- Proactive and happy to self direct
- Demonstrate effective communication with both children and staff
- Must display empathy, patience and commitment
- Must have access to a vehicle unless living in the Thornbury area
