Are you passionate about supporting children with Special educational needs (SEN) and making a real difference in their school experience and better development. We are working with various primary schools in the Cornwall area and are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN teaching assistant to help with cover. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment where every child is eager to thrive.
Your Role Will Include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to children with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Supporting pupils’ emotional and social development
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and families
- Using patience, empathy, and positivity to help pupils thrive
✅ What We’re Looking For:
- Experience supporting children with SEN (in school, care, or similar settings)
- GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- A calm, adaptable, and nurturing approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
- Level 2 Safeguarding certificate – or willingness to complete training (we can help with this!)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
