Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about supporting pupils with SEN needs such as Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities and Global Development Delay? We’re looking for an experienced SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Trafford, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive in a positive learning environment.

What we’re looking for:

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – essential.
• A HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
• Previous experience working in a school or care setting, ideally with SEN exposure.
• A confident, proactive approach to managing classrooms and engaging learners.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils with moderate to complex needs to access the curriculum effectively.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Fostering a safe, supportive and encouraging learning environment
• Providing feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and engagement.
• Collaborate with class teacher, parents and external multi agencies to ensure that children’s welfare and wellbeing is met.
