General Cover Supervisor – Rochdale

Location: Rochdale
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Start Date: Immediate and January

Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about supporting pupils with moderate SEN needs such as autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties? We’re looking for an experienced General Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming primary school in Rochdale, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive in a positive learning environment.

What we’re looking for:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – essential.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting, ideally with SEN exposure.
  • A confident, proactive approach to managing classrooms and engaging learners.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising classes during teacher absences and ensuring learning continues smoothly.
  • Supporting pupils with moderate SEN needs to access the curriculum effectively.
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Delivering pre-prepared work and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Providing feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and engagement.
