 Full-Time SEN PE Teacher (with potential 1 day of Maths)

Location: Basingstoke

Start Date: ASAP 

Salary: MPS/UPS £32,916 – £51,048

Teaching Personnel are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and energetic SEN PE Teacher to join a specialist educational setting in Basingstoke. This is a full-time role, with the opportunity to teach one day of Maths each week depending on timetable needs.

This role is ideal for a teacher with a genuine commitment to supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including SEMH, autism, and speech and language needs. You will play a key role in promoting physical education, wellbeing, confidence, and holistic development.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and accessible PE lessons tailored to a diverse range of SEN learners

  • Potential to teach one day of Maths each week

  • Develop personalised learning plans and differentiated resources

  • Foster a positive learning environment that supports emotional and behavioural needs

  • Work collaboratively with a supportive multidisciplinary team

  • Contribute to whole-school activities, enrichment, and physical development programmes

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Previous experience working in SEN settings is highly desirable

  • Strong behaviour management and a nurturing approach

  • Ability to inspire and motivate learners with varied needs

  • Enthusiasm for promoting health, fitness, and inclusive physical education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
