SEN Mentor Youth Work

A vacancy is currently open for the role of an SEN Mentor. Based at an alternative education provision, a Plymouth based school which caters to students with behavioural and SEN needs.

This job creates an exciting day to day experience, where you will play a major role in the planning the activities and methods of learning, for you and the students.

You will be working in a 1:1 or small group setting, where you will aid the development of learning. Also you will take outdoor activities and trips such as, Swimming, walking, climbing, trampolining and much more.

With a lot of freedom in the mentor's hands, you will be able to find great activities and learning methods to grow your student's progress.

The Successful candidate:

• Will have a background and experience in, education, outdoor instructing, coaching, health and social care or youth work.
• A full clean UK driving license
• NVQ Level 3 or higher
• Calm and empathetic manner
• Enthusiastic and wanting to help make change

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £44, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.
