SEN Learning Support

Teaching Personnel are looking for enthusiastic, caring and committed SEN Learning Support Assistants to join schools across Wigan and Bolton.

The Role

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers and support staff to help pupils with a range of additional needs access their education and thrive in the classroom.

You may be supporting pupils with:

• Autism / ASC

• ADHD

• Learning difficulties

• Communication and interaction needs

• Physical or sensory needs

• Complex and additional needs

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing 1:1 and small-group learning support

• Helping pupils engage with classroom activities

• Adapting learning activities to meet individual needs

• Supporting communication, confidence and independence

• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement

• Working closely with teachers and the wider support team

• Providing a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment

Who We're Looking For

We're interested in hearing from candidates with experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Support Worker, Youth Worker, Care Worker or similar.

You'll ideally be:

• Caring, patient and compassionate

• Reliable and enthusiastic

• Confident working with children and young people

• A strong communicator

• Able to build positive relationships

• Passionate about inclusive education and SEN support

Previous SEN experience is desirable, but not essential for every role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
