Setting: Specialist SEN School (Primary & Secondary)
Pay: £14.25 per hour

Support Children and Young People to Thrive in Specialist Education

We are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist SEN school in Farnborough, supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), complex learning needs, and medical needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a nurturing and highly supportive environment where every child is supported to achieve their individual potential through personalised learning, communication support, and tailored care.

Working alongside teachers, therapists, and support staff, you will play an important role in helping pupils access education, build independence, develop communication skills, and experience success in school.

The Role

You will:

  • Support pupils in the classroom and throughout the school day

  • Help children access learning through personalised approaches

  • Encourage communication, confidence, and independence

  • Support pupils with sensory, physical, medical, and learning needs

  • Work closely with teaching and multidisciplinary teams

  • Promote a calm, inclusive, and supportive environment

Who Should Apply?

We welcome applications from candidates with experience in:

  • Schools or education

  • SEND or specialist provision

  • Care and support work

  • Residential childcare

  • Healthcare or therapy support

  • Early years or childcare

  • Community, youth, or people-focused roles

Specialist school experience is not essential — we are looking for people who are:

  • Patient, caring, and reliable

  • Calm and adaptable

  • Confident supporting children with differing needs

  • Passionate about helping young people develop and succeed

A Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service is preferred, or applicants must be willing to obtain one.
