Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Tower Hamlets

  • £55 to £75 per day daily pay rate

Person Specification for SEN Teaching Assistant

In this SEN Teaching Assistant post, you will need to be a passionate candidate who has experience supporting SEN children or worked in the care home. The school's perfect candidate is an individual who can organise and overcome challenging situations and be in tune with their pupils' welfare. The Headteacher wants to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant with effective communication skills and a character that lends itself well to increased responsibilities. This vacancy is open to those who have good communication skills and a commitment to inclusion.

About the SEN Teaching Assistant Role

Reporting back to the SEN teachers will be crucial to tracking and monitoring the progression of various students. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be ensuring pupils are given the academic support they need and working in a very popular department. The role involves supporting pupils in their playground activities and you will be supporting the whole class. In general, you will be teaching with an autonomy and independence that an innovative curriculum provides. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be gaining valuable knowledge and tips on teaching practices from a Class Teacher.
