We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a special school for children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Complex Needs in Truro. The LSA position is to work in a class for pupils with Autism. The full-time position is to start in April and is initially for 1 term, but could be longer for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will have worked as an LSA or TA in a school setting and prior SEN experience is desirable but this could be from personal experiences or work in a health care profession. The needs of the pupils are broad and many children have Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, including physical disabilities. Applicants with additional skills such as Makaton, PECS and Team Teach Training are extremely sought after.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a very good SEN school with extremely supportive and friendly staff.
