We have an amazing opportunity for support workers who are seeking career progression and a new challenge. A highly accredited school in Kingston are looking to appoint experienced support workers for SEN teaching assistant positions.
Working with children and young adults with disabilities is a great transition from support and care work due to the skills required in personal care, moving and handling and positive behaviour support.
These positions are to start either immediately and will be long term ASAP with permanent contracts offered on individual merit throughout the academic year.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young adults
- Experience working as a Support Worker or in the healthcare industry
- Full-time, Permananent availability
What will I do?
- Working with children and young adults with learning difficulties including autism and sensory needs
- Supporting in small classes of 8 with a highly skilled team of specialist teachers and teaching assistants
- Promote positive behaviour in class and around school
- Promote inclusion in learning through stimulating educational and social activities
- Observe, record and access pupils progression
