Ex-Forces / Ex-Police? Your Skills Are Needed – SEN & Behaviour Support Roles (West Yorkshire)
Location: Wakefield, Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield & surrounding areas
Daily Rate: £90–£105/day
Contract: Full-time (term-time only) | Long-term & temp-to-perm roles available
Start: September 2025

We’re actively recruiting for individuals who want to step into the classroom and support pupils aged 7–16 who face a range of challenges, including:

Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH)
-
Behavioural difficulties / exclusion from mainstream schools
-
Autism, ADHD and other neurodiverse conditions
-
Trauma, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), or attachment issues
️ What the role involves:
-
Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups to re-engage with learning
-
Acting as a positive role model and helping to manage behaviour in a calm, consistent way
-
Helping pupils build confidence, regulate emotions and develop resilience
-
Working with teachers and pastoral staff to create a safe, structured environment
-
Supporting practical learning, sport, or vocational sessions (ideal for hands-on individuals)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
