Are you a caring individual who is passionate about offering help to pupils who may provide extra support?
Do you have a background in care or working with SEN in education?
Teaching Personnel are recruiting for an SEN TA within Colchester, this role would be a starting ASAP and has the potential to become a full time, permanent role ! You would be required to offer support to pupils across KS3, and 4 with SEMH- therefore experience working with this form of SEN would be hugely beneficial. You would be an integral part of this Specialist School and be joining a team of committed and friendly staff.
Requirements of the role:
- Provide support to the pupils daily school activities
- Behaviour guidance
- Monitoring the pupils progress and development throughout the school day
- Supporting the class teacher within lessons and with preparation outside of lesson time
The ideal candidate:
- Background in care or SEN
- Teaching assistant experience
- Experience working with SEN on a 1:1 basis
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update service
- Experience with SEMH

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
