Are you an enthusiastic person looking to work in a challenging and fast paced environment? Have you recently graduated from a psychology, counselling or education based course? Or have expeirence working with children? We are currently working with SEN schools in the Birmingahm area who are looking for Teaching Assistants who have experience with young people with SEMH and ASC needs, and may present challenging behaviours. The work will be on a casual basis, but be looking to build towards long term and permanent positions.

The ideal candidate:

All candidates must have a Team Teach qualification  and due to the nature of work experience with these particular needs is essential, although you do not need to have direct experience in an education based environment. You must have or demonstrate the following skills:

  • Team Teach (or a willingness to undergo team teach training)
  • Experience working with adults with ASC, SEMH, or behavioural needs
  • Resilient Nature
  • Caring and able to empathise with young people
  • Patient
  • A willingness to go above and beyond expectations

 

All successful candidates will be required to fund a DBS certification on the update service. This involves a one-off payment of GBP40 followed by yearly fees of GBP13. DBS Certification is an essential for ALL work in childcare settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
