SEMH Teaching Assistant – Part-Time (Primary & Secondary)

Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs and mental health challenges?

We have a part-time opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to work across a group of specialist schools and colleges in Yeovil, supporting students aged 3 to 19 with SEN, SEMH, and complex learning needs.

There is flexibility for a full-time start, and working hours are 8.30am – 4pm, Monday to Friday, during term time.

Who We’re Looking For:

You’ll be a great fit if you:

• Have experience supporting SEN or SEMH learners (school, care, or youth settings)

• Are calm, patient, and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills

• Can build trusting relationships and offer consistent encouragement

• Are adaptable, reliable, and ready to work across different key stages and needs

• Hold relevant qualifications or experience (desirable, not essential)
