SEMH Support Assistant – Primary School (Woolton)

Contract: Full-time, Term-time

Pay Rate: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)

We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Support Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Woolton starting this December. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment where your skills and compassion will help children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs reach their full potential.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Empowering Pupils: Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with SEMH needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning.
• Collaborating with Staff: Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored strategies and interventions.
• Creating a Positive Environment: Promote emotional well-being and resilience, encouraging positive behaviour and engagement.
• Making a Difference Every Day: Be a trusted adult who pupils can rely on for guidance and support.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience supporting children with SEMH needs (school-based experience is a bonus).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• A genuine passion for helping children thrive academically and emotionally.
