Role Overview
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs to access learning and manage their behaviours effectively. Key duties include:

• Supporting children with SEMH needs to engage in the curriculum and achieve their targets.

• Assisting teachers in delivering personalised learning activities and behavioural strategies.

• Helping pupils develop emotional regulation, social skills, and self-confidence.

• Creating a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes well-being.

Who we’re looking for:

• Experience working with children with SEMH needs is preferred but not essential - full training is available.

• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.

• Flexibility to work during school term time.

• A genuine commitment to supporting pupils’ emotional and educational development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
