Job description

Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEMH needs in the classroom and during structured activities.

  • Assist in developing personalised learning plans and behaviour support strategies.

  • Promote positive relationships and emotional wellbeing among students.

  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to ensure consistent support.

  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the evaluation of student progress.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with SEMH students is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to challenges.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Commitment to the wellbeing and development of all students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
