Here at Teaching Personnel we have had a request for a Teaching Assistant to work one to one with a pupil in Year 2 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health. The child has behavioural issues and needs some extra one to one support to ensure he makes the correct progress through school.

The Catholic School is rated as ‘Good’ by Oftsed, where the new senior leadership team is highly ambitious and demonstrates a good capacity for further improvements. The quality of teaching and outcomes for pupils in early years and at key stage 1 has improved and are now consistently good.

The role will initially be until the end of the academic year in July. However the Headteacher feels that the child needs some stability within school and the role would be likely to become a permanent position if the placement goes well. The child is bright as has the ability to progress through school however with a disruptive home life and lack of support in early years, he is a little bit behind the rest of Year 2.
