SEMH Teaching Assistant
Job description
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our supportive teams in SEMH schools located in Bramley, Guildford.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with SEMH needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop social skills, and thrive in a nurturing educational environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with experienced educators and contribute to the positive development of vulnerable children.
Key Responsibilities:

Supporting pupils’ learning and emotional well-being

Assisting teachers in planning and delivering tailored activities

Promoting positive behaviour and social development

Providing one-to-one or small group support as needed

Supporting pupils with individual needs in line with SEMH strategies
Requirements:
-
Experience working in SEMH or special education settings is highly preferable
-
Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
-
Ability to work effectively as part of a team

A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
