SEN Teaching Assistant – Opportunities via Teaching Personnel

If you answered yes, then this job opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant may be for you! A SEN/PRU Primary School in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.
The Role:
You will be responsible for supporting classroom teachers in providing the best support possible to students ranging in the ages 4-11 years old, with various SEN and behavioural difficulties such as ADHD, ADD, ASD, CD, MLD, OCD, ODD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties and other behavioural needs.

Who We Are Looking For:
- Applicant must be comfortable working in a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit)
- A patient, resilient, innovative and caring individual with a compassionate approach to supporting children
- SEMH/mental health experience in or out of an educational setting
- Able to collaborate with teachers and other support staff
- Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies
- Able to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and safely
Working Hours/Benefits:
- Full time and flexible availability applicants will be considered for this role
- Monday and Tuesday = 08:30 – 16:00
- Wednesday and Thursday = 08:30 – 15:15
- Friday = 08:30 – 15:00

- 12.07% Holiday Pay
- Please note, this role is Term-Time Only

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
