SEMH Teaching Assistant - Glossop

The ideal candidate will be an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant who can build excellent working relationships and is proactive.  

The pupil is currently in Year 2 and the head teacher has decided to provide the child with a 1-1 Teaching Assistant to aid progression.

Team Teach training would be desirable to deescalate any potential flare up before this occurs. Experience dealing with challenging behaviour is a must.

To be considered for the position you must:

• Be able to show patience and empathy
• Experience supporting children with very challenging behaviour
• Youth work/PRU experience
