SEMH Teacher

Teaching Personnel are currently working with the local authority in the Portsmouth area and we are looking for experienced SEMH Teachers to join our growing team this year. The position is to work with children who can present behavioural difficulties and are currently not attending a mainstream educational provision. This will be on either a full-time or part-time (supply) basis.
About the role
As an SEMH Teacher you will support students in a class setting, on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. You will be required to work alongside other professionals including social workers, local authorities to ensure the child's lesson plans are accessible.
Requirements
For the position, you must:
- Have experience working with children who display SEMH, EBD, ADHD and very vulnerable children including LAC
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status or be working towards this status
- Be flexible and adaptable to deal with the various challenges that present in an SEMH setting
