A secondary SEMH school in Central Manchester is looking for a teacher for a full-time position in September. The school works with children that have been permanently excluded from mainstream schooling and need extra support to ensure they are focused and learning at a good rate.

Within this role you will:

  • Plan and lead classes small classes of KS4 children
  • Monitor progress of each child and make goals and targets for each student to work towards
  • Provide feedback to staff and students based on EHCPs
  • De-escalate challenging behaviour
  • Lead support staff within the classroom

For this role you should:

  • Have a secondary PGCE or extensive teaching experience at a secondary level
  • Have good experience with challenging behaviour
  • Be team teach trained or be willing to undertake this training before or during the role
  • Be available full-time in September

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
