We are seeking to appoint a qualified English Teacher who can work with young people who are looked after, and ideally a teacher with additional experience of working within a residential specialist school.
Our client is an independent SEMH/ASC provision that caters for young people from the age of 11 to 16 years. Other needs include ADHD, moderate learning difficulties and communication/sensory needs.
Job Role:
- To plan, deliver and assess outstanding teaching and learning using proven methods and approaches that enable pupils with any need to learn and develop
- Take on the role of class tutor, ensuring that pastoral needs are met and to simultaneously establish excellent relationships with pupils as well as parents/carers
- Manage a team of support assistants/learning support assistants
- Inspire trust and confidence in pupils, colleagues parents and other professionals
- Build team commitment with colleagues
- Adhere to all working protocols as agreed by the school
- Engage in whole school activities as required by the school Headteacher
- Plan and lead children in all enrichment activities
- Ensure you uphold all safeguarding procedures

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
