Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a passionate and inspiring Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and talented team at an Ofsted graded 'good' school in the Yate area. Yate is a really easily accessible area if you are based in Bristol and South Gloucestershire. This school require an enthusiastic, professional and ambitious Teaching Assistant to join a growing school that is passionate about transforming and enriching student's education. The role will include providing whole class support as directed by the teacher, small group intervention and 1:1 support targeted to children's individual expectations, including children with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). You will also provide pastoral care through group or individual activities and 1:1 support for children with a range of special educational needs.

What we are looking for:

  • A passionate individual who wants to be a part of transforming education and be involved in the development of the whole school
  • Can enthuse, motivate and engage children in all areas of learning
  • Has experience of working in EYFS, KS1 or 2 and assisting the class teacher to deliver high quality teaching and learning in the classroom
  • Has experience in delivering interventions across the school or is interested in undertaking this role
  • Has a knowledge or experience of working with special needs or is happy to apply themselves to this role
  • Is a team player with good communication skills and willing to work flexibly alongside a range of children and adults
  • Has a range of effective positive behaviour management skills
  • Has a clear understanding of the importance of assessment and a clear understanding of SEN procedures and processes
