Maths Teacher – Secondary School

Bath
Immediate Start – Day-to-Day Work with Potential for Full-Time Role Until the End of the Academic Year

We are seeking a fully qualified and experienced Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in Bath as soon as possible. This opportunity can begin as flexible day-to-day work, with the potential to transition into a full-time position continuing until the end of the academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and confident educator to join a supportive Mathematics department and make a significant impact on students’ progress and attainment.

About the Role

This is a full teaching role, including planning and marking responsibilities once in a full-time post. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential).

You will be responsible for creating a positive and structured learning environment that challenges students of all abilities, while maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement. Strong classroom management skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons

  • Prepare schemes of work and lesson resources

  • Mark and assess student work, providing clear and constructive feedback

  • Track and monitor student progress

  • Support students in developing confidence and problem-solving skills

  • Maintain excellent classroom behaviour and routines

  • Contribute to departmental planning and wider school activities

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Experience with planning and marking responsibilities

  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities

  • A commitment to raising standards and supporting student achievement
