Change Lives Through Education – Become an SEMH/SEN Primary/Secondary Teacher in Suffolk
Are you a resilient, compassionate, and inspiring educator? We’re seeking dedicated Teachers to work within SEMH and SEN specialist settings across Suffolk, supporting young people who need a tailored, nurturing approach to learning.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the complex needs of students with SEMH/SEN profiles.
- Build trusting relationships that help students re-engage with learning and develop positive attitudes.
- Use trauma‑informed, restorative, and child‑centred approaches to promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
- Work closely with therapists, pastoral teams, and parents to ensure holistic support.
- Track progress and celebrate achievement, however small, to build confidence and self‑esteem.
What We’re Looking For
- QTS or ECT status
- Experience within SEMH/SEN settings is beneficial, but a strong passion for inclusive education is essential
- Excellent behaviour‑support strategies and emotional resilience
- Adaptability, creativity, and a calm, consistent approach
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
