Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant & Outreach Support Worker (KS3/4/5) – Multiple Vacancies
Location: Leyland SEMH School
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only (Temporary to Permanent Opportunities Available)

We are seeking multiple dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistants & Outreach Support Workers to join our thriving SEMH school in Leyland, supporting students aged 11–18.

The Role:

Support students with SEMH needs across KS3, KS4, and KS5 within the classroom and during outreach sessions.

Build strong, positive relationships and act as a trusted adult for young people who may have faced barriers to learning.

Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies to ensure consistent, joined-up support.

Assist in managing behaviour positively and promote emotional regulation and resilience.

Deliver tailored interventions and support plans, both onsite and through outreach work where needed.
About You:
-
Confident, resilient, and able to remain calm under pressure.

Experience working with young people with SEMH needs (in education, youth work, care, or similar) is desirable but not essential.

A sense of humour, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
