Teaching Personnel

Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Behaviour Management Assistant to support students at a specialist SEMH school in Bolton from September. The school caters for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, including anxiety, ADHD, autism, attachment difficulties, trauma, and emotional regulation challenges.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour support.
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
  • Support pupils in managing emotions and developing coping strategies.
  • De-escalate challenging situations using a calm and patient approach.
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support student progress.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people in education, care, youth work, or support settings.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • Resilient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting vulnerable learners.
  • Experience with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour is desirable.
