Job description

SEND Tutor – Gloucester | £20–£30 per hour 

Do you have a passion for supporting young people with additional needs to reach their full potential? We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Tutor to join our team in Gloucester.

About the Role

You’ll be working with students aged EYFS through to Post-16, supporting a wide range of SEND needs including ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other learning differences.

Tutors will be responsible for planning, assessing, and delivering a personalised scheme of work designed to meet each learner’s individual needs. The primary focus will be on Maths and English, helping students build confidence, independence, and key academic skills.

Sessions are delivered 1:1 or in small groups, in schools, community settings, or the learner’s home.

Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or a minimum of 3 years’ tutoring experience

  • Strong understanding of SEND and adaptive teaching strategies

  • Ability to plan engaging, tailored lessons for individual learners

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
