Secondary Trained Maths Teacher
Challenging Behaviour
Full time - Long term role
A Secondary Pupil Referral Unit based in Ebbw Vale has entrusted us to find a Maths Teacher to work full time in the school teaching until the end of the Academic year and September. We require someone with experience having worked in a PRU previously or supporting and teaching pupils with SEMH and Complex Behaviour needs.
The school itself provides full-time, alternative, secondary education for young people, aged between 13 and 17, who present with additional to complex needs. Through the provision of an alternative educational experience, the behaviour of learners is transformed, allowing them to access the curriculum both socially and academically.
The Ideal candidate will have QTS or equivalent experience as a Maths teacher and be willing to work with pupils with additional needs in a highly supportive role.
What we need from you:
- Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent)
- Pupil Referral Unit Experience
- Experience teaching Maths to Secondary aged pupils
- Commitment to a long term role
- Availability for an immediate start and Interview/ Trial day
- Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willing to apply for one)
