Are you seeking a role to kick start your career in the Education sector OR are you looking for a new role? If so, we have a fantastic role in Cambridgeshire for you!
This supportive and welcoming specialist school wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work closely with pupils aged 11-16 years. Your role will be to support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, with an aim to boost pupil engagement in lessons and improve their academic levels.
Although not essential, it would be ideal if you had a basic knowledge of British Sign Language (BSL).
Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant:
- 1:1 Tuition and Intervention with students that require extra support in their subject(s).
- Involvement in departmental planning and lesson preparation.
- Managing the behaviour of pupils aged 11-16 years, confidently.
- Ensuring pupils stay engaged in and partake in class activities.
This would be an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Teacher, Carer, Support Worker or Care Assistant to gain classroom specific experience in a busy school environment.
This position is long-term, with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future.
