Teaching personnel have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join the welcoming pastoral SEN team in North Bristol.
We are searching for an inspiring and driven person who is dedicated to "Bringing out the Best" in every student and who enjoys working in a setting where young people from all backgrounds are encouraged and supported to thrive.
Support staff at the school are highly valued, professional and always have student’s best interest at heart. The ethos of the school is based on positive relationships and a personalised approach which they take with all students.
The successful candidate will have one or more of the following:
- Experience of working in a school or a similar role.
- Experience of working with young people in a school or extra-curricular context
- GCSE of equivalent passes in English and Mathematics.
The roles and responsibilities:
- Plan and support children with SEN needs and help them reach their potential in a professional and caring manner
- Be reliable and punctual when working individually in the community or when part of a team and supporting colleagues to do their jobs.
- Actively plan and join in play and youth activities including swimming, ball games, music and more
- Be prepared to communicate differently with a wide range of people.
- Keep records and write reports when required.
- Always ensure the highest level of safety and safeguarding

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
