We are working closely with an Alternative provision in the Tameside area who are looking urgently for a Teacher who is versatile and flexible, to cover a range of subjects.
The provision supports some of the most vulnerable young people in the East Manchester area, who may be experiencing mental health issues and portraying anti-social behaviours.
Students come to the provision as an alternative to mainstream school and an adapted curriculum is created to met their personal needs.
With a staff count of 6, the provision is very small but effective in what it delivers.
As a Teacher, you must be experienced in dealing with pupil behaviours and be comfortable in delivering a number of subjects, subject knowledge of all areas is not expected.
The role is more person centred and focuses on engaging the young people in vocational activities and life skills which they need to become more independent.
Qualified teacher status is required.
