Secondary Supply Cover Supervisor – New Mills – September Start

Location: New Mills
Position: Cover Supervisor – Secondary School
Start Date: September 2025
Pay: £90 - £120 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time or part-time (flexible to suit your availability)

Teaching Personnel is currently working with a secondary school in the New Mills area that is seeking a Cover Supervisor to join their team from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in education or seeking flexible work within a school environment.

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work to classes in the absence of the regular teacher. You will manage classroom behaviour, ensure pupils remain on task, and provide general support to students during lessons.

This role is ideal for:

  • Graduates considering a career in teaching

  • Sports coaches, youth workers or teaching assistants with experience working with young people

  • Experienced professionals seeking flexible working hours in a school setting

Requirements:

  • Confident in managing behaviour and engaging with students

  • Reliable, organised, and flexible in approach

  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)

  • Previous school-based experience is beneficial but not essential
