Secondary Learning Support Assistant – L31 Area
Immediate Start, £95–£110 per day, Full-time

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in the L31 area, recently graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted, to recruit a committed and proactive Learning Support Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking school environment where inclusion and student progress are at the heart of everything they do.

About the Role
You will be working closely with teaching staff to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a particular focus on students who require additional learning support. This may include those with special educational needs (SEN), social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), or those who benefit from targeted academic intervention.

Your role will involve both in-class support and small group or 1:1 work, helping students to access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop essential skills for learning and life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to students within lessons across a range of subjects
  • Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups
  • Support students with additional needs, adapting resources where necessary
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral teams
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with secondary-aged pupils (school-based or similar setting)
  • A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed
  • Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
