Secondary Music Teacher – Full-Time (September Start)

Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term (Full Academic Year)
Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of musicians? We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Secondary Music Teacher to join a friendly vibrant Secondary School from September for the full academic year.
About the Role:
You will lead engaging and inclusive music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to extracurricular activities such as choir, band, and school productions. You will play a key role in fostering creativity, discipline, and a love of music in our students.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled music educator to join a supportive and forward-thinking school community. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to explore their creativity and develop their musical skills. The role will involve planning and delivering the music curriculum, preparing students for performances, and contributing to the school’s vibrant extra-curricular music programme.
✅ What You’ll Do:
- Teach and adapt engaging lessons for KS3 and KS4 students, following the National Curriculum.
- Inspire young minds through pre-planned lessons and creative teaching methods.
- Monitor and assess student progress, helping them achieve their full potential.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment and manage behaviour effectively.
- Work collaboratively with school staff and adapt to new classroom settings with ease.
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified teacher with QTS and experience teaching Music at secondary level
- A genuine passion for music education and the ability to inspire young people
- Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills
- A commitment to inclusive education and high standards of student achievement
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Registered or willing to register with the Education Workforce Council.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (we can guide you through this).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
