Secondary Cover Supervisor – Cardiff
Location: Cardiff, South Wales
Pay: Starting from £110 per day
Contract Type: Flexible, Full-time or Part-time

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting Secondary School Cover Supervisors for a number of schools across Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain classroom experience, whether you’re a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), a graduate exploring a teaching career, or someone with a background in coaching, tutoring, or youth leadership.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, manage student behaviour, and ensure a positive and productive learning environment. Full training is provided, including Behaviour Management modules to help you feel confident in the classroom.
What We’re Looking For:

Confident and adaptable individuals with strong presence

Experience in education, sports coaching, youth work, or tutoring

Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
-
Willingness to work across different subjects and year groups
-
A passion for supporting student learning and engagement
-
Flexibility and availability on short notice
Subject Specialisms Welcome:
We are especially interested in candidates with subject knowledge in Maths, PE, or Science, as schools often request cover aligned with specialisms.
Requirements:

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
-
Up-to-date Safeguarding Training (can be provided)
-
Able to provide two references from the past 24 months

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
