A mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a full-time Science Technician to join their team from September. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong interest in science and a practical, organised approach to support the delivery of high-quality lessons.
The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing and maintaining equipment for practical work, managing resources, and supporting the science department in ensuring lessons run smoothly and safely. Full-time Science Technician role starting September

Based at a well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth

Term-time only position

Work closely with science teaching staff to support practical lessons across KS3 and KS4

Responsibilities include:

Preparing, setting up, and clearing away equipment and materials
-
Managing stock levels and ordering resources
-
Ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed

Supporting students and staff during practical sessions

Ideal for candidates with:

Previous lab or school technician experience

A strong scientific background (education or industry)

Good organisational skills and attention to detail

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
