Science Teacher required September 2019

We are currently working with an outstanding school that are currently looking for an enthusiastic permanent full time science teacher (Part time applicants considered).The school are highly successful and offer state of the art teaching facilities. The school are considering all applications whether you are an NQT or an experienced science teacher.

The school is a fantastic Southampton based catholic school which have a history of their students producing outstanding results as shown with recently over half the year group achieving at least one 7 or above and just under a fifth of the year group achieving at least one coveted grade 9! This is supported with Ofsted's recent inspection rating the school outstanding with particular reference to the science department being a open collaborative, engaging environment for students "During lessons, pupils are regularly encouraged to contribute to class discussions"

The successful candidate will have to be able to continually challenge their students, enabling them to grow each day within a family atmosphere which the school prides itself on. The candidate would have to have a real passion for teaching and have aspirations to further their career, which will be aided through a well developed CPD programme.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a current QTS and a relevant subject related degree.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Science.
  • Flexibility, resilience and excellent organisational skills.
  • An ability to be an active team player.
  • It would be an advantage if the candidate could teach a secondary subject.
