Science Teacher required ASAP in Preston

Teacher of Science required in Preston, Lancashire from ASAP!

I am working on behalf of a mainstream secondary school in Preston who require a full-time Teacher of Science from ASAP to cover an un-planned absence within the department. The role is to start ASAP with a view to continuing until the end of January and likely to be beyond February half term.

This role involves teaching KS3/4 Science but mainly KS3. The school are considering all Science specialists as the role is to cover General Science. Initially, the work will be set and planned for the incoming Teacher however if the role continues into something longer term there may be an element of planning involved.
This is a mainstream secondary school in the Preston area with close links to the M55 and M6. The school has excellent on site parking facilities and is accessible via public transport with local bus routes.
To be considered for this role, you MUST have:
- Valid UK PGCE with QTS
- Science specialism (any considered)
- Commitment to a full-time post
- Recent experience teaching KS3/4 Science
- UK based experience within the last 2 years

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
