Teaching Personnel are looking for a Science Teacher to cover a maternity at a School in Newcastle Upon Tyne, starting from September 2019 on a full time, permanent basis. The school are looking to enhance their Science provision across their Secondary phase and in order to achieve this, they need an ambitious Teacher who is passionate about teaching, learning and Science as a whole.
The KS3 curriculum is delivered with a great emphasis on providing a range of activities, and offsite teaching and learning strategies to encourage their students to become independent learners. Their approach is a creative one and has seen impressive progress made by all of their learners as a result.
The School offer all three Sciences at A-Level and a teacher with experience of KS5 Physics is desired however, they would be very open to taking on a different specialism and switch in-house staff, for the right candidate. Science is a very popular subject at the School and the department achieved a positive progress score last academic year.
The school are interested in NQTs, recently qualified Teachers and more experienced Teachers who are:
- Ambitious in their career; the School are looking for teachers who can take on additional responsibilities in the near future
- Able to demonstrate an excellent track record of teaching and learning in their Subject
- Expert in the field of Science with a willingness to cover additional subjects when needs arise
- An enthusiastic individual with a real passion for Science
- An effective communicator and sensitive to the needs of their Students
- Passionate about their professional development and support colleagues with theirs.
Applicants must have UK QTS. The School may consider UQTs, however they must be well qualified in Science with prior teaching experience.
If you are a Teacher of Science early in your career wanting to flourish in a highly successful department, or a more experienced Teacher looking to continue your career then please submit your application ASAP. Interviews will be arranged on application and the advert will remain live until the most suitable candidate is found.
