Science Teacher (KS3/KS4) – Full-Time Role in Tameside Secondary School

Location:Tameside (Ashton, Denton, Hyde, Stalybridge, Mossley)
Salary: £150 - £210 per day (experience-dependent)
Contract Type:Full-time | Long-term with permanent potential
Start Date:Immediate or September 2025

Are you an ambitious Science Teacher seeking a new challenge in a supportive, forward-thinking secondary school?

Teaching Personnel are supporting a Tameside-based secondary schoolin their search for a passionate and dynamic Science Teacherto join their department. This is a full-time teaching role with full planning, delivery, and assessment responsibilities.

The school is well-regarded within the local area and offers strong leadership, a welcoming team, and excellent facilities. Whether you're experienced or newly qualified, you'll be supported with CPD and opportunities for professional growth.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics)

  • Monitor progress and support differentiated learning

  • Prepare pupils for GCSEs and liaise with parents/carers on progress

  • Promote curiosity and a passion for scientific enquiry in the classroom

  • Work collaboratively with the Science department and school SEN/behaviour teams

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification

  • Strong subject knowledge in Science

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
