Science Teacher (KS3/KS4) – Full-Time Role in Tameside Secondary School
Location:Tameside (Ashton, Denton, Hyde, Stalybridge, Mossley)
Salary: £150 - £210 per day (experience-dependent)
Contract Type:Full-time | Long-term with permanent potential
Start Date:Immediate or September 2025

Teaching Personnel are supporting a Tameside-based secondary schoolin their search for a passionate and dynamic Science Teacherto join their department. This is a full-time teaching role with full planning, delivery, and assessment responsibilities.
The school is well-regarded within the local area and offers strong leadership, a welcoming team, and excellent facilities. Whether you're experienced or newly qualified, you'll be supported with CPD and opportunities for professional growth.
Role Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics)

Monitor progress and support differentiated learning
-
Prepare pupils for GCSEs and liaise with parents/carers on progress
-
Promote curiosity and a passion for scientific enquiry in the classroom

Work collaboratively with the Science department and school SEN/behaviour teams

Requirements:

QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification

Strong subject knowledge in Science

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
