Science Teacher | Newmarket | 2020

Due to an upcoming gap in the Science department, we are seeking a Teacher of Science to join our staffing team for the rest of the academic year. This is a full time opportunity which would involve teaching all three disciplines of Science to both KS3 and KS4 level and the successful candidate will be joining a hard working and successful Science department.

• Full time Teacher of Science required from Easter 2020 or sooner
• Ofsted graded ‘Good’ close to Newmarket
• Access to award winning CPD academy
• Pay in line with MPS and UPS (GBP24,373-GBP40,490)

The successful candidate will be joining a large secondary school which has excellent facilities throughout. The department are passionate about creating scientists of the next generation and deliver an inclusive and creative curriculum that both challenges and inspires students. Experience of teaching all three disciplines of Science up to GCSE level is desirable but not essential and there will be an opportunity to teach within subject specialisms across the KS4 curriculum. The school is situated close to Newmarket.

Prospective candidates should:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) within the UK
• Be able to plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons to a range of learners
• Have the ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students
• Have strong subject knowledge of the new (1-9) Science curriculum
