Science Teacher - Permanent Position - September 2021
Are you a fully Qualified Science Teacher who can teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4?

Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a client secondary academy in South Derbyshire who are looking to recruit a science teacher to start a permanent position from September 2021. The academy are looking for someone who will be confident in the delivery of the curriculum and have the ambition and dedication to continue to develop it in line with current practice and research in effective teaching.
Due to this being a full-time permanent position, you will be required to plan, deliver, and mark the work of the students so experience with this is essential. Ideally you will be able to teach to your specialism to key stage 4 and key stage 3 general science.
The role:
- Starting in September
- Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
- Willingness to participate in the school’s extra-curricular programme
- Supporting students in exam years, and tracking assessment
All candidates MUST:
- Have a Teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS/PGCE) in Science
- Have the right to work within the UK
- Have the ability to provide school based references
- Be available for work full time from September
The academy:
At KS4 they offer a combined sciences award route; selected students have the opportunity to become science leaders where students are chosen from KS3 and KS4 and form the basis of the science council which gives the department a student voice.

- Grade 5 or above in English and Maths is 46%
