Job description

We are looking for a two full time and two part time tutors to provide tuition in the Northampton area.

All positions are to start as soon as possible.

All positions will require tuition to take place during school hours to secondary aged pupils across KS3 & KS4.

All tuition will be on a one to one basis.

x2 full time tutors-Northampton- x1 English specialist x1 maths specialist 

x2 part time tutors-Northampton/ Towcester- x1 English specialist x1 maths specialist

    • Referrals to support primary, secondary and post 16 aged students with subject specific areas. Children may be in a mainstream setting, special educational needs or alternate provision setting or without a school place and fall under the local authority awaiting a suitable school place.
    • Bespoke online reporting platform- 24/7 access to enable you to log immediate attendance details, feedback and assessments.
    • Online classroom platform- to enable you to deliver online tuition to students in a virtual environment. This platform offers all the tools you will require to deliver online tuition and is recorded for safeguarding purposes and for revision purposes.
    • Hourly rate of £25 paid weekly
    • Access to free safeguarding and CPD courses as well as free access to assessment tools and resources.

Requirements for a 1:1 Tutor:

  • Ideally hold a QTS/PGCE certificate or at least a minimum of two years previous teaching experience.
  • Endless enthusiasm and patience
  • Experience working with either primary or secondary pupils
  • Ability to engage with pupils quickly and accelerate progression
  • Maths or English specialist with ability to plan a prepare resources in line with curriculum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
