Science Teacher

A fantastic opportunity for a teacher of Science who is available as soon as possible to join a progressive, inclusive and smaller than average comprehensive secondary school.

-          Full time Science Teacher (Salford)

-          Starting ASAP to March 2020 initially (ongoing sickness cover)

-          Teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Science (Chemistry, Biology and Physics)

-          Pay in line with MPS/UPS experience dependant (GBP23,720 - GBP40, 490)

-          Great location situated in the heart of Salford, close to Pendleton.

-          Post open to Science teachers of all levels (QTS)

The successful Science teacher will join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Salford which has progressed massively in the last year. The school achieved good results across the Science department last academic year which they hope to achieve again this year. As a result, the incoming Science teacher will be confident in delivering clear and inspiring Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) for all 3 sciences.

The incoming Science teacher will have strong classroom management and be able to adopt a flexible approach teaching in order to support pupils of all abilities as the school serves a catchment area that has low social and economic development.  The Science teacher covering the ongoing sickness will be expected to deliver and mark pre planned lessons in line with the current national curriculum and with guidance from the school. If the sickness is ongoing, there may be an opportunity to engage with the lesson planning.
