The governors of this thriving mixed 11-16 High School are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, ambitious and enthusiastic Temporary Teacher of Science to join an ambitious and highly supportive team.

To accommodate this increase in numbers, the school is planning to recruit additional teachers in a range of subjects for September 2021.

Our school is a thriving provision where all colleagues work to ensure that our pupils excel. The Science department is well known in school for achieving excellence. The department consistently achieves positive progress scores and there are a large portion of pupils which take up Science at A-Level.

Our school has a Central Burnley location with excellent access to transport routes such as the M65 and A59.

If you are considering this role you should:

-          Hold QTS and a relevant undergraduate degree

-          Be seeking a position starting in September 2021 (Earlier start dates are available for a suitable candidate)

-          Have evidence of outstanding practice or the potential for outstanding practice

We have a collaborative attitude to CPD with an atmosphere of support weaved throughout all that we do. We have a wide range of opportunities through local CPD partners and a thorough induction programme for new member’s of staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
